Vesuvianite
stock #17.AL-513
Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos
Quebec, Canada
4.5 x 3.7 CM (miniature)
price: $360

A excellent cluster of glassy, bright gem Vesuvianites from the now closed Jeffrey Mine. Modern Classics, good examples are now very scarce. A lustrous medium green piece in excellent condition that shows small zones of deep purple and dark emerald green. Expect these to appreciate well.
Grossular (gem Garnet)
stock #19.1-160
Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos
Quebec, Canada
7.4 x 6.9 CM (cabinet)
price: $1700

The type of incredible garnet that made the Jeffrey Mine famous. A sizable matrix specimen with dozens of sharp, gem clear crystals that reach 1.5 CM. Top color and glass-like luster. Most crystals are fully perfect with delicate striations but there is damage or contacting on some crystals with most chipping at the edges and backside. Despite that, the overall impact is outstanding, and the cost is far less than the astronomic prices that fully perfect pieces command.
Vesuvianite and Mangoan-Vesuvianite
stock #9.1-160
Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos
Quebec, Canada
5.7 x 5.3 CM (small cabinet/large miniature)
price: $320

Outstanding example of the species and this closed locality. A brilliant, sparkling cluster of jewel like crystals that range from a few millimeteres up to 1.8 CM. The luster is excellent and crystals are gemmy. Esthetic and eyecatching, this is far better than average for this classic find. Very clean of damage and displays well from many angles. The color is more vivid and rich in person.
