Beryl V. Aquamarine
stock #19.1-361
Shigar, Skardu District, Baltistan
Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
2.9 x 2.4 x 2 CM (thumbnail)
price: $110

A clean thumbnail of gem clear Aquamarine on an Albite matrix. The Beryl is flattened along one axis and has the classic flat termination. In perfect condition, super transparent, the crystal faces are mostly flat with minimal striation. Overall a choice small gem from the great Shigar pegmatite zone.
SOLD Beryl V. Aquamarine on Albite with Ferro-Columbite
stock #SOLD 19.1-353
Skardu District
Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
3.4 x 2.5 x 1.8 CM (thumbnail)
price: $0

A fine large thumbnail with a perfect gem Beryl nicely perched on rounded Albite crystals. Additionally there are some inclusions of radiating accicular crystals of what are reported to be Ferro-Columbite. These are not tested by us, but do seem to match others that have been. No damage and looks fine from many angles. A great example from this famed Pegmatite zone.
Beryl v. Aquamarine, Schorl and Albite
stock #19.1-254
Shigar, Skardu District, Baltistan
Northern Areas, Pakistan
3.7 x 2.3 x 2.2 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $185
Spring 2019

A neat toenail of gem clear Beryl set on snow white Albite and glassy black Schorl Tourmaline. From recent finds at Shigar, this is a classic combination. The Schorl has a hoppered termination at one end and the Aquamarine is glass clear and perfect on all sides. An excellent specimen that could be trimmed to thumbnail size if desired but is fine as is.
Beryl- Aquamarine with elongated, tabular form
stock #8.1-057
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Pref.
Sichuan, China
8.6 x 4.9 x 4.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $750
Spring 2019

Tabular Beryl are not known from many localities, and this sort of elongated tabular Beryl is really rare. There are several smaller parallel position additional crystals that are not elongated but the main crystals are which is really unusual. In very good condition, no damage and with fine luster on all sides, this was found in 2007 at Xuebaoding. This form is the flat hexagon with a sharp beveled edges that is so distinctive for this location. Better in person, a choice and rare Beryl.
Beryl V. Aquamarine- unusual stepped termination
stock #17.1-536
Hohenstein Massif, Omaruru District
Erongo Region, Namibia
3.7 x 3.7 x 3.3 CM (miniature)
price: $1250
Dec 2018

A bizzare, unique, rare but attractive Aquamarine. From the Erongo Mountains, (Hohenstien Massif) this is a complete, doubly terminated crystal. The flat termination is typical although in this case the corners have modified faces. The real interest is the other termination that is a series of hexagonal steps that are perfectly centered like a stairway or a turret. The 4 main steps or platforms are very flat and some edges have a little etching, the whole is therefore a reversed scepter. Some minor contacting/chipping is noted but overall the condition is excellent. A good display piece but especially a great addition for a suite of Namibian/ Erongo minerals, Beryls or exotic crystal forms.
Fluorite on Beryl (Aquamarine)
stock #18-AX-10-745
Gilgit, Gilgit district
Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
7.3 x 5.2 x 4.6 CM (cabinet)
price: $600
Late Summer 2018

A choice combination specimen with light pink octahedral Fluorite on gemmy clear Aquamarine. The largest Beryl is 2.5 CM tall and well exposed on the matrix of Muscovite and Albite. This is a typical Northern Pakistan assemblage. The condition is quite fine, good magnification finds some tiny rough spots on a few Beryl edges but this is perfect by naked eye. Ex. William Hladysz collection. Separately both the Beryl and the Fluorite are fairly good but not extraordinary, however in a combination like this they are much more impressive.
Beryl (elongated crystals) on Muscovite
stock #8.1-130
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Pref.
Sichuan, China
7.8 x 5.4 x 2.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $420
Spring update

An unusual matrix plate well encrusted with Beryl (both Aquamarine and Goshenite) with fine clarity. The unusual part is the habit here, these are not the typical tabular crystals from Xuebaoding, but elongated prisms with truncated pyramids. Xuebaoding is a world famed locale and had produced many fine Beryls but almost always in a rare tabular habit. In 2006 a small zone with some elongated crystals produced these odd habit Beryl. This is a very good example from that find, there have been no more since.
Beryl v. Aquamarine -Classic locale.
stock #17.1-AX-20-163
Royalston, Worcester County
Massachusetts, United States
6.7 x 5 x 3.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $685
new june 17

Royalston Massachusetts is a legendary classic locality for gem Beryl with occasional finds over the past 180 years. This specimen shows the typical habit with a single crystal 5.4 CM long that is nearly all gem clear. The crystal also shows an old break that is rehealed with a thin line of Quartz dividing the prism into two sections. Much prized by collectors of classic minerals, these are not often available. One old repair is noted on close exam but nearly all of these have at least one.
