A pair of parallel gemmy Beryl crystals (light green) with very distinct central canals that run the length of the prisms. The crystals are terminated at the tops yet the central hole is perfectly in the middle of the terminations. There are striations running the length of the central canals that are clearly seen through the otherwise transparent crystals. A fine example of this uncommon and interesting oddity. Similar to some hollow crystals that were found in Brazil in the nineties, these show wider central canals and they are all the way through the crystal. An older piece formerly in the Steve Chamberlain collection, his label states he obtained this in 1977 from the Dossert collection. Unlike anything else I have seen from Mozambique and a super interesting, attractive Beryl!

A very odd, beautiful and choice gem Beryl that reminds of the famed Ukrainian Heliodor, yet this is an Erongo specimen. In fine condition, all sides of this crystal are stepped and etched with complex, faceted faces. Close to 100 percent facetable gem grade transparency and 44 grams of green to yellowish color, like a midpoint between Aquamarine and Heliodor. We recently (2017) obtained this in Namibia where it was the best and largest of a single pocket. So far there seems to be no more. Doubly terminated (crudely) and in our experience, unique.
An older, quite attractive Pakistani Beryl that is almost has a Heliodor hue but not quite. The two prisms are well-terminated and have an unusual melted look. There is Rutile as well in several spots. Attractive arrangement, no breaks or repairs.
Unusual habit Aquamarine ex. John Marshall Collection. The main crystal is 3.4 CM across the termination face, with an etched cavity in the center that bells out inside the crystal. The there is also a 2.2 CM Hydroxyl-herderite crystal on the back side as a bonus. Good condition and a very nice "oddity" from this prolific region.

A nice, clear, sharp undamaged small specimen that won't break the bank! ex Larry White collection, the tip of the Beryl is glass clear and the main shaft has a milky internal zone. It still is possible to find an affordable specimen that is a perfect condition, esthetic miniature.
From an old small find of these exotic, tapered habit gem Beryls, this is a very nice, clean example. Excellent condition, with great texture, color and form, this is not a typical Beryl at all! Ex Larry White collection.

An unusual Beryl crystal, from a find several years ago (1960's) that produced these odd specimens. Bright glassy luster, a deep translucent bluish white zone at the base changes to a clear blue green near the termination. There is micro chipping on some edges, as all pieces had from this find, despite this the specimen is the most pristine I have seen of this style. A very different Beryl that is certainly rare!
I believe that the area near Pingwu, China is one of the greatest mineral localities ever. Some amazing quality minerals are well known but usually not many variations. However, this is not a typical Xuebaoding Aqua! In 2007 I purchased a small lot in China that were unusually elongated beryls that were bi-color (white to blue). I expected there would be many more, but there were not, the habit is very rare and not found since. We originally sold this piece in 2007, I am glad to have it back. It has the largest crystals I have seen from this find (4.8 CM) and it displays super well. No damage at all on the display side, there is matrix contact on the back. The crystals are well-arranged on the minimal matrix which is the usual Albite and Muscovite. Most of the terminations show an unusual hoppering that is also unique to this one find.
