Batopilas, Andres del Rio District
Chihuahua, Mexico
4 x 3.1 x 2.1 CM (miniature)
price: $350
Spring update

A very delicate cluster of wires, herringbone crystals and tiny spinel twins of native Silver. From the now classic locale of Batopilas, this has several small bits of adhering Calcite much like ornaments on tree branches. Due to the fragility of this piece it is best to make a by hand delivery or we will ship in soap powder, insured. Ex Larry White collection.

A single stout wire of native Silver showing the ropey textures that are typical of Kongsberg wires. Very nice patina and with some extra delicate offshoots, the thickest part of the wire is about 5mm. An attractive classic Kongsberg Silver.
Silver - Fine native crystals in
stock #AX-19-161
New Nevada Mine, Cerro San Antonio, Batopilas
Chihuahua, Mexico
6.2 x 3.7 x 2.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $2850
Winter 2016-17

An extraordinary fine small cabinet specimen with exceptional form from Batopilas. For esthetics and delicacy of crystals, there is no other location like the Batopilas area of Mexico. This piece is very far above average and is in perfect condition. Individual leafy crystals over 3.3 CM tall show many sharp, fine treelike side growths in many habits. Far better in person and offering lots of display impact this is a choice modern classic.
Silver crystals on Copper crystals
stock #AX-19-201
Osceola Mine, Osceola, Houghton County
Michigan, United States
4.9 x 2.7 x 1.6 CM (miniature)
price: $320
pre Tucson 2015 update

An odd yet quite attractive specimen which is very well crystallized. The matrix is mostly all copper, some of it is crystallized with flattened octahedra and some standing fingers of crystals. The main event is the Silver that is crystallized in twisting fingers and branches contrasting to the copper. A little Malachite and a blue mineral (Chalcanthite?) are visible too. The blue could be cleaned off but it adds interest as is in my opinion. The condition is perfect, the esthetics are distinctive and not typical.
