A cute classic Greek "Prase" or "Prasm" Quartz with good green color, translucence and sharp tapering crystals. Serifos Quartz has been a long known and collectable variety, it has a very distinctive habit that is only known from a few other skarn deposits worldwide. These have become quite pricy on the market, this one is in good shape, has only very tiny chips that are hard to see by naked eye, and is very reasonably priced for one of these.
The Prase type Quartz from Serifos can be especially attractive and is a modern classic. This is a choice small cabinet specimen with good color, form and is in good condition, some chipping is seen on close inspection not visible at several angles but this keeps this price low. A ball of Hematite blades is a nice and rather uncommon addition. The locality still continues to produce some Quartz every few years but these have become quite hard to find at reasonable prices or in anything close to good condition.
A scepter-like Quartz rises from a matrix of tiny orange Andradite Garnets. The Quartz is a deep blue-green, being thickly included by Hedenbergite (some of which sticks out of the Quartz). In fine condition- a cute miniature with a nice contrast. choice specimen that is affordable and esthetic.
