Fluorite - penetration twins
stock #15.1-546
Blackdene Mine, Weardale
County Durham, England
4.4 x 3.4 x 1.7 CM (miniature)
price: $110
new year 2021

Light purple Fluorites with penetration twinning on miniature matrix. Vivid fluorescence which is typical for Fluorite from this region, and some fluorescence in daylight as well. The Fluorites are transparent and have a deeper purple core. Classic habit and in very good condition, these were found for many decades, and are unlike Fluorite from any place else.

Fluorite
stock #19.1-517
Heights Mine, Durham, Weardale County
County Durham, England
4.1 x 3.3 x 3.3 CM (miniature)
price: $325
Spring 2020

Perfect and well composed Fluorite from the Heights mine. This cute miniature has a prominent, well isolated and very sharp cube perched on top. The edges and corners are sharp and perfect on this, the luster is glasslike and the Fluorites are quite transparent. No visible damage. A good value for a small, choice classic British Fluorite with a quality well beyond typical.

Fluorite - penetration twins, early specimen
stock #AC-356
Weardale North Pennines
County Durham, England
4.9 x 4.7 x 3.2 CM (miniature)
price: $700
May 2015

Brilliant green transparent cubes to 4 cm across show penetrations and fine growth hillocks. This also has a very nice daylight Fluorescence in vivid purple blue. A quite old specimen (pre 1950's) that is notably different from any of the recent finds. The color and clarity stand out in person, but are hard to see in photos. The condition is fine on the two primary display sides, the back is broken where it was removed and not visible in any logical display.
