An excellent 3.2 CM gem crystal of Diopside is well positioned on a Tremolite matrix. A classic US specimen From the very old locale of Dekalb New York, this is an early specimen of a type that has not been found for many years. Sharp form, good luster, transparent-gem with fine color and in great condition. Rarely seen on the market and never available in this quality. An excellent value.

Fine and sharp gem clear Diopside crystals on a Diopside matrix in excellent condition. From the famed Dekalb classic location made famous in the 1800s, The largest crystal is 2.3 CM long and has fine transparency and a nice yellow-green color. This was collected by and in the collection of S. Alverson in the last good find over 4 decades ago. Since that pocket there have been no more with this clarity and glassy luster. Outstanding for the location and an esthetic piece as well!

Very cute, affordable and in good condition from the Benchmark quarry collected by Bill Hladysz many years ago. A single Calcite prism is perched on a Dolomite and Marcasite matrix with a few micro Pyrites as well. These are modern NY classic specimens.

Amber colored Calcite crystals are prominently perched on a crystallized Dolomite matrix. In fine condition with rich color and above average clarity, this was collected by Bill Hladysz many years ago. The Benchmark quarry is now something of a modern NY state classic locality. A very good example of Amity NY Spinel that was world famed when first found in the 1840's. The exact locale is now lost today, but occasional small finds are made in the area. This is an old specimen in fine condition, sharp, complete and with a nice contrast to the matrix.

A great example of the now rare Chittanago Falls NY Celestite. A classic location the hard Dolomite of this famed NY locale hides some excellent Celestite which are quite prized. Few are found now and most that do turn up are damaged or poorly exposed. This old piece is from the Larry White collection, it is pristine, esthetic and quite fine.

A exceptional and odd form with an elagant look. Sharp Dolomite crystals are sprinkled on a stalk of matrix decorated with golden Marcasites and tiny Calcites. The top of the curving finger of matrix has a light amber colored Calcite that is sharp, complete and transparent to translucent. ALll in all some great esthetics from the Benchmark quarry, more famed for its Herkimer style quartz. A very fine NY Calcite!
