Smithsonite with Calcite
stock #13.1-802
Kelly Mine, Magdalena
New Mexico, United States
8.8 x 6.3 x 3 CM (cabinet)
price: $1150
Spring 2017

A very pretty, classic Smithsonite from the famed Kelly mine. Nice wet look luster and three dimensional surface. In fine condition, undamaged on the display side, sawn on the back and sits well for display. These have become quite prized over the past few years and this is a particularly good value for this quality. The large knob that protrudes from the concave area is 3.2 CM across and has a few small Calcites on the surface.
Copper Pseudomorph after Azurite rosette
stock #15.1-1118-(SM3654)
Copper Rose Mine, Georgetown, Grant County
New Mexico, United States
4 x 2.9 x 2.7 CM (miniature)
price: $320
Spring 2017

A fantastic Copper after Azurite rosette that is sharp, very large and quite old. An early Wards label (likely 1900-20) is included and one from the Charles Noll collection as well. This habit and style is unique to this locality and this specimen perfectly preserves the form of the Azurite crystals and the rose shaped cluster they grew in. Nice patina and in perfect condition.
Fluorite -Octahedron on Matrix
stock #10.1-296
Turkey Creek, Grant County
New Mexico, United States
4.2 x 3.7 x 3.5 CM (miniature)
price: $350
Spring 2017

A perfect, complete and sharp New Mexican Fluorite, ex Marty Zinn. Even though it is not stated on the label this is certainly a Turkey creek specimen. Violet at the corners and green at the core, this rests on a tiny shard of contrasting matrix. This style and quality are never seen on the market now.
Smithsonite (Deep green, ex John Marshall Collection)
stock #0287-JM-455
Kelly Mine, Magdelena district
New Mexico, United States
9 x 6.6 CM (cabinet)
price: $875

Super deep rich color, no damage and large size from mining in the late 1950's. These are already cherished classics for their color and luster. Much more green than the usual blue color, displays well and a very good value
Smithsonite
stock #8.1-262
Kelly Mine, Magdelena district
New Mexico, United States
8.5 X 4.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $350

A very attractive and unusual crystalized smithsonite from this great American Classic locality. There is a rich crust showing discrete, rounded individual crystals with top quality color and luster on the gossan matrix. Good "wet" look to the crystals and a fine value for this very collectable locality. This is not the usual massive material and different from the "rice grain" type crystals.
