A wonderful sculpture of well formed crystals in fine condition. An excellent Erongo specimen that looks great on all sides. The Fluorites are zoned, complex translucent to transparent purple crystals. The Schorl is very lustrous and shows several types of terminations. A sprinkling of tiny Quartz crystals adds the final touch. A very good value for the quality.

A stacked cluster of sharp, well formed, slightly iridescent crystals from the famed Flambeau mine. Classic "soot" black with metallic edges in a very distinctive form.

An array of zoned blue Benitoite crystals on contrasting white Natrolite. Classic material from this famed locale with crystals to 2 CM size. Some chipping on crystals as seen in the photos, a relatively affordable piece with a pleasing arrangement on the matrix.
Fluorite w. Boulangerite and Scheelite inclusions (rare)
stock #6.2-565
Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County
Hunan Province, China
2.8 x 3.5 x 2 CM (miniature)
price: $350
Post Tucson 2015

Single clear cube of Fluorite densely filled with metallic needle crystals of Boulangerite. There are also a few tiny gemmy Scheelites and Calcites scattered on the sides and edges. With a loupe it is impressive to see that there are several perfect clear golden Scheelites inside the Fluorite, with excellent clarity. These Scheelites also have Boulangerite growing inside of them, in an arrangement that I have not seen ever before. The specimen in vintage 2002, and a very special oddity.
Bournonite - classic Cornish

Herodsfoot Mine, Lanreath, Liskard District
Cornwall, England
3.9 x 3.1 x 2.1 CM (miniature)
price: $485
Post Tucson 2015

A nicely crystallized cluster of cogswheel form Bournonite from the famed Herodsfoot Mine. An old specimen (pre 1950 but likely far older), the color is a dark "gunmetal" metallic black. The crystals have several habits and reach 1.6CM. There is damage on the edges and minor chipping but the central area of this is in good condition. Overall nice specimen of this delicate mineral from this old classic Cornish locale.
Beryl var. Aquamarine
stock #A7-044-1271
Sapucaia do Norte, Galileia Doce Valley
Minas Gerais, Brazil
6.6 x .8 x .5 CM (cabinet)
price: $320
Post Tucson 2015

A perfect floater etched Beryl crystal with pale green color more evident in person. No damage, the entire surface of this transparent crystal is the fine geometric etched patterns that make this type of Beryl so desirable. Bigger crystals with this degree of perfection are incredibly expensive, this smaller version is relatively affordable.
Hemimorphite with Malachite (Classic old locale)
stock #0044-JM-2296
Rezbanya, Baita Mining District, Nucet
Bihor, Romania
7.4 x 6.1 x 3.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $675
Post Tucson 2015

Brilliant lustrous blue color crystals on this very old, fine classic piece. Ex Lechner, (Austria), Schortmann, and John Marshall collection, the old labels have this in Hungary (now Romania) and was in the Lechner collection prior to 1903, but likely from much earlier in the 19th century. In fine condition with an electric color, there seems to be some Chrysocolla as well as Malachite under the Hemimorphite which helps the rich color. Excellent quality, fine provenance and eyecatching sparkling esthetics that is simply impossible to find today.
SOLD Azurite -classic rossette form, with Smithsonite, Calcite

Junction Mine, Bisbee, Warren Dist., Mule Mtns, Cochise Co.
Arizona, United States
13.1 x 8 x 5.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $0
Post Tucson 2015

An especially choice old Bisbee Azurite that hosts two dozen crystallized rosettes to about 1 CM in size on a contrasting matrix. From a small collection made in 1921-22 by a Bisbee miner, that was recently re-discovered wrapped in vintage newspapers and long underwear. The matrix includes tiny greenish Calcite and Dolomite crystals. A very special bonus are areas of Smithsonite scattered on the matrix, rather rare at Bisbee. A few rossettes have contacts that are not easy to see but most are quite perfect The color, luster and form are very fine.
