Wulfenite
stock #AX-29-057
Tsumeb
Otjikoto Region, Namibia
7.3 x 6.1 x 3.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $895
Winter 2016-17

Fine butterscotch yellow crystals both standing and laying on a Calcite/Smithsonite matrix. For this delicate mineral (in thin fragile crystals) it is in exceptional condition. Micro-chips exist but are very minor. Very good esthetics.

Chalcocite
stock #AX-24-432
Tongshankou Mine, Daye Co., Huangshi Pref.
Hubei Province, China
5 x 2.1 x 1.4 CM (miniature)
price: $875
Winter 2016-17

An especially attractive specimen from the now famed finds at Hubai. Fine patina and form with the treelike structure perched on crude Chalcocite crystal base. These have been found in many forms in this find but this habit is especially nice and quite rare.

Serandite on Aegirine with Polylithonite, Leucophanite
stock #16.1-160
Mont Saint-Hilaire, Monteregie
Quebec, Canada
5.7 x 1.5 x .9 CM (cabinet)
price: $155
Winter 2016-17

A sweet and esthetic arrangement of crystals on a 5 CM stalk of Aegirine. Found before 1990 formerly in the Mikel collection via Dave Joyce. A nice yet affordable example of why Mt St Hilaire is one of the world's greatest mineral locales.

Legrandite
stock #AX-24-140
Mina Ojuela, Level 6, Municipio de Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
6.2 x 5.2 x 5 CM (cabinet)
price: $750
Winter 2016-17

A fine and pretty matrix Legrandite with sharp canary yellow crystals protected in a vug. The condition as seen is excellent and undamaged despite the fragility of this rare mineral. While this could be trimmed to a fine thumbnail the larger matrix seems fine to me as is showing many other vugs and associations adding interest. Choice.

Cerussite
stock #AX-15-047
Daoping Mine, Gongcheng County, Guilin Prefecture
Guangxi Province, China
4.7 x 3.1 x 3 CM (miniature)
price: $290
Winter 2016-17

A sizable twinned crystal of Cerussite dominates a Cerussite matrix from this famed Pyromorphite locality. Silky luster with alternating faces that have a light frosting makes this quite distinctive. The largest prism is 2.8 CM long which is huge for this now classic locale

Cerussite on Copper with Malachite and Dolomite
stock #AX-29-119
Tsumeb
Otjikoto Region, Namibia
9.8 x 5.6 x4.4 CM (cabinet)
price: $3750
Winter 2016-17

An exceptional display quality specimen ex Marshall Sussman collection. Rare combo from this most classic locale, Native Copper in wires and branches is heavily encrusted with bright Malachite (balls and drusy crystals) and dusted with thousands of small sparkling Dolomites. The main Cerussite is 3.6 cm in diameter and that too is dusted with tiny Dolomites. The whole thing has strong esthetics and is in fine condition. No damage by naked eye but 10-20X magnification finds a very few, very tiny chips that can not be seen otherwise. Brilliant sparkling luster, displays great from many positions. A fine addition to any Tsumeb suite or classic collection.

Pyromorphite
stock #15.1-841
Daoping Mine, Gongcheng County, Guilin Prefecture
Guangxi Province, China
4.7 x 4.3 x 4.4 CM (miniature)
price: $1150
Winter 2016-17

With all the great Pyromorphites that came from Daoping only a very small percentage were super esthetic. This miniature is clearly exceptional. Well-formed, composed of three dimensional tree-like sprays with top color, luster and undamaged. Displays well from all sides. This has a mix of light color needle crystals and larger fat hoppered barrel habit that have wet look deep green color. From the 2000 vintage find that was perhaps the best ever, this is clearly NOT typical!

Apatite on Albite (Fluorapatite)
stock #15.1-332
Gilgit, Gilgit district
Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
7.4 x 6.5 x 3.4 CM (cabinet)
price: $590
Winter 2016-17

Perfectly exposed and elegantly perched Apatite crystal 3.6 CM in diameter contrasts with the stepped crystals of Albite. In fine condition and with bright luster the Apatite is a light salmon-pink with yellowish central areas. Transparent (but with internal veils), the crystal is complete and the front and sides are perfect, undamaged. The backside has some minor contact damage that is out of sight in any display angle. Esthetic and distinctive.
