Chrome Tremolite
stock #8.AE-881
Mogok, Pyin-oo-Lwin District
Mandalay Division, Burma (Myanmar)
5.9 x 3.6 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $200

A single sizable (3 CM) crystal of rich green Chrome Tremolite sits on a Calcite matrix. The crystal form is impressively sharp for one of such size, this is not the typical "blob" of Tremolite! Great color and gemmy on thin edges, these are not common in general and rare in such aesthetic specimen.

Sphalerite with Chalcopyrite
stock #7.AE-578
Tri State District, Ottawa County
Oklahoma, United States
15 x 9.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $500

A very old and very fine Tri-state classic! Ex collection of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, This is a true top shelf specimen. Sphalerites here reach to 4 CM and are exceptionally well-formed. The smaller crystals are a fine ruby red (ruby-jack) while the larger ones are darker and coated with Chalcopyrite. Some faces are noticeably iridescent and over all the luster is outstanding. The only damage is at the outer edges where it would be expected, the display face is pristine, three dimensional and very esthetic. The old Tri-state area produced a lot of materials in its time, but this quality was excellent even in its heyday.

Galena on Sphalerite
stock #8.1-443
Krushev Dol Mine, Madan, Rhodope Mts.
Smolyan Oblast, Bulgaria
8.4 x 6.9 CM (cabinet)
price: $250

A sizable (4.4 CM) galena sits in a sea of lusterous Sphalerites. Clean and esthetic, the Galena has some hoppered areas and elaborate growth phase lines. Nice contrast and no damage on the display side.

Fluorite on Dolomite with Chalcopyrite
stock #8.1-445
Naica Mine. Naica, Municipio de Saucillo
Chihuahua, Mexico
6.4 x 5.6 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $250

An older piece (60s vintage) from the John Marshall collection, this is distinctly different from more recent materials from Naica. Clear, transparent Fluorites are well placed on a contrasting matrix. The crystals are undamaged, bright, gemmy and have slightly curved faces. Displays very well, this will be a great addition to any Fluorite collection.

Beryl var. Aquamarine with Albite on Muscovite
stock #8.1-064
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Pref.
Sichuan Province, China
7.1 x 5.4 CM (cabinet)
price: $350

A gemmy 4 CM aqua in perfect condition is penetrating a 4.8 CM Albite crystal sitting on Muscovite. From the now famous Mt Xuebaoding area, this is a fine combo piece. Unusual relationship is prominently displayed in a very esthetic specimen. There are a lot of Aquas on the market from this area, this one is distinctly different and nice.

Elbaite tourmaline with Beryllonite
stock #8.1-446
Arqueana Mine
Minas Gerais, Brazil
8.4 x 6.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $1400

A fantastic combination specimen, this is NOT common! Immediately obvious is the big, two-tone green Elbaite just under 7 cm long and over 3 cm thick. That would be a very fine and attractive specimen on its own, but the matrix is composed of dozens of sharp terminated Beryllonites to 1.3 CM long. The overall condition is excellent, there is some minor chipping that is not easily seen from display angles.
