Mina Navidad, Abasolo, Rodeo
5.2 x 3.2 x 3.8 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
Radiating cluster of very distinct Creedite crystals that are free standing, reaching nearly 3 CM tall. Aside from the much larger than usual crystals, this has very rich color, some transparency and fine luster. Mina Navidad has been the source of nearly all good orange Creedites, a mineral usually colorless or brown (rarely purple) and usually in much smaller crystals. This is far above average miniature, excellent for the size and especially esthetic.
SOLD Zircon -classic locale
stock #SOLD 17.1-813
Store Kufjord, Seiland Island, Alta
5.4 x 3.7 x 3.4 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
A complete, perfect and lustrous Zircon crystal sits well exposed on the classic matrix of Store Kufjord. The crystal does not have the cracks, pitting or other flaws seen on most of these. This old locale is one of the most famous for Zircon, every few years a few more pieces are excavated but never very many. This is vividly fluorescent in long wave UV and quite esthetic with a contrast to the white and black matrix.
Rutilated Quartz and Hematite
3.8 x 2.4 x 1.8 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
A cute toenail sized rutilated Quartz that sits on bladed Hematite crystals that are also Rutilated. The Rutile hairs are bright golden color and very sharp, clearly seen both inside and out of the Quartz. Rutile on Hematite and Rutile inside Quartz are both often available, but it is quite uncommon to see both together like this.
