An impressive, fully crystallized "tree" with elegant form and very sharp Spinel twin branches. Very few examples are so well formed, sharp and distinct. A relatively old piece (pre 1965's) from the classic White Pine Mine. The habit and form is unmistakable from this unique deposit. Excellent esthetics and top notch quality that is impossible to find on the market today. Far better in person!
A big, (4.5 CT) complex Diamond crystal with a fine glassy, vitreous luster. An older specimen, vintage 1980's that presents well and shows some very intricate crystal modifications. Also note there is a distinct color shift from yellow to a green or brown green hue in different light sources. A very good crystallized example of the element (Carbon) that humans are made from!
A nice, clear, sharp undamaged small specimen that won't break the bank! ex Larry White collection, the tip of the Beryl is glass clear and the main shaft has a milky internal zone. It still is possible to find an affordable specimen that is a perfect condition, esthetic miniature.

3.3 x 2.6 CM (miniature)
Thompsonite is usually a drab, plain white mineral but this find was something very special. In 2011 a small find of sparkling pink balls on a contrasting dark greenish matrix was made. There were very few pieces that were not damaged, and none found since. This is a pristine smaller piece with a single ball covered with sparkling micro needles. In good light it has a sort of cauliflower or brain-like look. A nice example that is a pretty addition to a zeolite or Indian mineral suite.

Monteponi Mine, Iglesias, Carbonia
4.4 x 2.8 CM (miniature)
A real prize winning miniature! (First Prize miniature catagory at MTL Mineral EXPO). It is impressive, esthetic gemmy and has classic form, from the most classic locality, Monteponi. An older specimen from this long closed mine, it is composed of 3 main intersecting crystals. Close exam finds very minor chipping mostly just on the base and backside, it can be displayed "eye clean". For this delicate mineral it is "virtually perfect". From an older collection, this quality is simply not for sale today. An older collection number is on the reverse side, it can be removed if that side is to be displayed. Choice!
An very impressive, sizable and sharp crystal with great luster and strong color change wit the added feature of a well defined internal color zone stripe that is very rare. Displays great with good clarity, only one very tiny edge chip is noted that is almost invisible to the naked eye, and not visible from the best display side. The most impressive feature is the distinct color changes as this is rotated, The color is an intense blue, then a zoned green, rich purple and from along the c axis a strong red. With good backlight a small yellow zone is also seen. With the costs of even average gem Tanzanite being incredibly high, this is an ecxeptional piece at a great price.
From the late 1990s vintage finds, a very distinctive, doubly terminated gem crystal perched on a crystal section of Microcline. The 3 CM long Herderite is in perfect condition and shows textbook form. Excellent esthetics and a slight color change from blueish to greenish in different light sources. A far better than average piece, and there has been nothing new on the market for several years.
Scheelite on Quartz
Tong Wha Mine, Neungam-ri, Angseong-myeon, Chunglu
5 x 2.7 x 2.3 CM (miniature)
A well presented, sharp, shiny Scheelite is perfectly perched on the side of a quartz crystal. Good Korean Scheelites were never very common 30 years ago and now are seen when older collections are dispursed. The Scheelite (1.7 CM) is translucent and has a few areas of selected etching. Overall in good shape, one tiny area of chipping can be found with magnification. A nice, esthetic and affordable old Korean piece.
