A fine, undamaged and esthetic specimen featuring a 4.2 CM gem crystal of glasslike yellow-green Brazilianite. Aside from simply enjoying a beautiful mineral, this is a good time for collectors to obtain a fine Brazilianite. Before the recent finds at Linopolis, these were very rare, expensive and highly sought after. They will certainly become rare again, and above average specimens will appreciate well.
Epidote and Quartz
Green Monster Mountain, Prince of Wales Island, Prince of Wales Island
4.2 x 3.5 CM (miniature)
A small but very pretty Alaskan Epidote. The largest crystal is 3.2 CM long, glassy bright and decorated with quartz crystals. There is contacting on the perimeter and rear of the specimen but the main crystals are sharp and undamaged. A nice, affordable example of an American classic.are
Ximeng County, Pu'er Prefecture
5.8 x 3.5 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
Glass like gemmy Cassiterites up to 1.8 CM set on a contrasting matrix. It has become hard to find good Ximeng Cassiterites, they are distinctive and desirable, with higher luster than most any other locations. This is a good example that really shines in good light.
An extraordinary, delicate, electric green brochantite from what may be the best discovery ever of the species. In person the color is an intense emerald green deeper than can be rendered on most computer monitors. Perfect condition, strong esthetics and intense color make this piece stand out in any display. There have been only a few small pockets of Brochantite over the past few years at Milpillas which is far better known for incredible azurites. There have been very few fine specimens in these finds, and none recently. Without a doubt these will be regarded as some of the best of the specie ever seen, and are a fine affordable investment. This specimen can be shipped with special arrangements but it is far safer to deliver in person at a major show or by other arrangement.
A much better than average tri-state classic, ex John Marshall collection. Crystals to 3.6 CM on a thin matrix plate range in color from translucent ruby red to black. Pitcher Field produced huge numbers of Sphalerites 40+ years ago, it is now rare to see good ones. In fine condition, well composed and far more attractive than is typical.
Proustite (ruby- silver crystals )
Imiter Mine, Imiter District, DjebelSaghro, Ouarzazate Province
Souss- Massa- Draa Region,
6.7 x 4.7 CM (cabinet)
Proustite is a "noble" silver mineral. It is rare, sometimes beautiful, expensive and highly desirable. From the classic locations in Germany and Chile good pieces often sell for more than double their weight in gold. Recent finds in Morocco produced a lot of low end, affordable specimens but only a few fine pieces. This specimen stands out as fine, with unusually large crystals, excellent ruby color and dense coverage. The largest crystal here is about a centimeter in size, but most are smaller. The matrix is a silver rich Galena/ Acanthite. A real attractive, fine piece well below market for a good example of this "holy grail" specie!
Azurite with minor malachite
stock #7-MOR- 209
Touissit, Touissit-Bou Beker Dist., Jerada Province
Oujada-Angad Province, Oriental Region,
7 x 4.3 CM (cabinet)
A cluster of highly lustrous sharp Azurites to 3.4 CM in size with scattered accents of green Malachite. From the 1980 vintage finds at Touissit, this is a very eyecatching and attractive example. The largest crystals are in excellent condition chipping and contacts do exist however that can not be seen from the main display angle. The luster is glasslike, far better than most Touissit pieces.
Pyromorphite on Malachite
stock #11.1 -W51
Brown's open pit, Rum Jungle
10.4 x 7.2 CM (cabinet)
A fine, large specimen from the epic 2010 find that was the mineral discovery of the year. A very rich example of the "emerald pocket) the matrix has numerous malachite spheres scattered on a bed of deep grass green velvety malachite. The surface is covered with hundreds of sharp olive green to lemon green Pyromorphites. Bright luster and in great condition, this has a striking color contrast. Well better than average for this find, and it now seems that there will be no more. Very attractive and destined to be a classic.
