SOLD Brazilianite -gem crystals, classic locale
stock #SOLD 20-FC-064-(9173)
Conselheiro Pena, Doce Valley
Minas Gerais, Brazil
5.2 x 4.3 x 3.3 CM (small cabinet/large miniature)
price: $0
Spring 2020

A cluster of thick lustrous gem grade Brazilianites from the unusual locality of Conselheiro Pena. In fine condition as seen, only one small edge chip can be found which is not visible on any display angle. The two famed Brazilian localities (Telerio and Corregio Frio both in Linopolis) have a distinctly different look, color and habit from each other and from the less common Conselhiero Pena specimens. This piece has a small amount of matrix but is almost a complete floater. Choice and not often available,
Euclase- colorless gem crystal
stock #8-AE-791
Conselheiro Pena, Doce Valley
Minas Gerais, Brazil
3 x 1.6 x .7 (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $380
Pre Holiday 2017

A perfectly clear, well terminated and sharp Euclase crystal. The faces show fine striations and the top shows a dual tip termination that is unique in our experience. If this was a blue Euclase with this clarity and sizeit would be valued in the 5 figures, but as it is colorless that is clearly not the case! An excellent example that is larger than most from this area of Brazil.
Tourmaline (Elbaite- Indicolite)
stock #8 DK-060
Conselheiro Pena, Doce Valley
Minas Gerais, Brazil
7.8 X 3 CM (cabinet)
price: $2400

A killer gem crystal! First the piece is unrepaired, and the termination of this is like a cityscape. Individual peaks are staggered in an esthetic array. Secondly the color is rich and rare, a deep indicoloite blue grading to a deep bottle green. The luster is excellent and overall the condition is outstanding, no distracting damage or chips. Sizable too, so at a quick glance this looks dark and opaque due to the thickness, but this really glows with good lighting. The photos here have minimal backlight so the crystal is not "overlit" and unrealistic. You can really make it sing with stronger light if you want! Compare if you can find somthing like this, it is reasonable for so much good gem!
