3.5 x 3.4 x 2.4 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))

Dec 2018

The Erongo Mountains sometimes produce some very exotic and amazing Fluorites. This is an excellent example with stacked "melted look" crystals completely enclosing crystals and sprays of Schorl. The Fluorites are all Spinel twinned, the highly etched surface gives an unusual look and the whole piece is simply bizarre. In fine condition a neat small miniature.

A fine miniature from the Erongo that features a gem clear Goshenite Beryl perched atop a cluster of purple Fluorite that is offset with lustrous black Schorl. In excellent condition the front display side is in perfect shape, the base area is contacted. Few of this find were so distinctive. Choice, esthetic and well balanced.

stock #17.1-642
Erongo Mountain, Karibib
Erongo Region, Namibia
11.1 x 4.7 x 3.8 CM (cabinet)

Spring update

A large gem clear Quartz that is a light smoke brown with coatings and inclusions of Schorl Tourmaline. Complex multi faced sides with ramparts make this a statuesque crystal. In excellent condition the overall look is an alpine type habit. In exceptional undamaged condition a few areas show a coating of Hyalite opal as well. Especially fine and choice for the locale this is far better in person.
Fluorite -Bicolored scepter
stock #16.1-642
Erongo Mountain, Karibib
Erongo Region, Namibia
4 x 3.1 x 2.7 CM (miniature)
price: $450
Pre Holiday 2017

The Erongos sometimes produce impressive and very unusual Fluorites often in just a small single pocket find. A few years ago a find of loose green scepters, mostly very etched thumbnails made news. This specimen is similar but from a more recent small find. Less etched, larger, bicolored and on matrix, this has great esthetics. Formed of two crystals grown close together the tips are perfectly terminated in deep purple color but the stalks and base are bright green. Few were found, this example is especially choice.
Beryl var Aquamarine with Schorl
stock #7 AE-097
Erongo Mountain, Karibib
Erongo Region, Namibia
10.1 x 9 x 6 CM (cabinet)
price: $720
Spring 2017

A very fine well composed large cabinet specimen with perfect Aquamarine crystals to about 3.5 CM. The Beryls are nicely perched, have gem clear terminations and good color. The matrix provides a good contrast and specimen sits well for display. Choice example from the prolific Erongo mountains, this is above average for quality and quite affordable for such an esthetic piece.
Beryl v. Aquamarine -second generation
stock #Alec-19-045
Erongo Mountain, Karibib
Erongo Region, Namibia
4 x 3.9 x 3.4 CM (miniature)
price: $140
Winter 2016-17

A gemmy sharp Beryl is growing from a cluster of older, darker etched crystals. Very nice composition and in good condition, this is an eye catching small Erongo specimen. The main Beryl also has some etching and wispy inclusions, best seen with magnification. Reasonable cost for an attractive gem crystal.

4.8 x 3.8 x 1.3 CM (miniature)

A simple esthetic arrangement of Schorl and Fluorite on a plate of tiny Microcline crystals. Nice color contrast, excellent condition and an affordable cute display miniature.
Jeremejevite gem crystal
stock #15.1-317
Erongo Mountain, Karibib
Erongo Region, Namibia
2.6 x .5 x .4 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $900
May 2015

A fine gem clear Jeremejevite that is much larger than average and with clean, sharp form. Ex Bill Pinch collection, distinct color zoning ranges from deep sky blue to clear. Sharp termination and glassy sides make this a very pretty example of this rare mineral. Found prior to 2002, this quality is now very hard to find.
