Native Silver
stock #7.AE-205
Elura Mine, Cobar, Robinson Co.
New South Wales, Australia
4 x 2.2 x 1.4 CM (miniature)
price: $490
Post Tucson 2015

One of the very best most detailed Elura Silvers I have ever seen. The Elura mine is the source of a distinctive habit of crystallized Silver, this being a superb example. Herringbone crystals and elongated spinel twins, some of which are flattened are all joined in a tree like sculpture. Excellent patina and in perfect condition, no damage can be found even at 30X magnification. These have become scarce in recent years and this quality was never common.
Mimetite
stock #14.1-065
Elura Mine, Cobar, Robinson Co.
New South Wales, Australia
3.2 x 2.7 x 1.6 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $275
pre Tucson 2015 update

A good toenail sized Mimetite from the Elura Mine with nice structure and definition. The top Elura Mimetites were once some of the best ever found, this piece is not of that calibre but it is nice and not crazy expensive either. Very clean condition damage wise, the crystals reach 1.2 CM and show color zoning. Magnification shows a second generation of smaller crystals and a coating of yellow to red brown has formed on all the crystals. It seems they are yellow to green and more glassy underneath the coating, which might be removable with solvents. A good value, these are now getting scarce.
