Pyromorphite- Exceptional for locale
Little Giant Mine, Mullan, Coeur d' Arlene District, Shoshone County
11.3 x 6 x 4.3 CM (cabinet)
pre Tucson 2015 update
A big and well crystallized Pyromorphite from a little known location, the Little Giant Mine. This specimen was in the famed Pyro suite of John Marshall, the best example from Little Giant he had been seen in his 60 years of Pyromorphite collecting. Later discoveries nearby at Bunker Hill mine are much more well known, but this locality had a few fine specimens before then. This is one of them and is if very good condition, has 2 generations of growth with crystals reaching 7mm densely covering the matrix.
