SOLD Mimetite
stock #SOLD 15.1-431
Chah Milleh Mine, Anarak Dist., Nain Co.
Esfahan (Ishfahan) Province, Iran
4.2 x 3.2 x 2 CM (miniature)
price: $0
Late Summer 2018

Botryoidal Mimetite with fine color and form. From finds in 2014 at the ancient mine of Chah Milleh, this piece has minimal matrix. The shapes of the Mimetite show the forms of a previous generation of Wulfenite, thus these are either a pseudomorph or epimorph. Either way this is an attractive miniature in fine condition from this significant Iranian locality.
Wulfenite
stock #15.1-541
Chah Milleh Mine, Anarak Dist., Nain Co.
Esfahan (Ishfahan) Province, Iran
3.3 x 1.9 x 1.3 CM (thumbnail)
price: $95
Worldwide mix summer

A cute thumbnail of the orange-red Wulfenites from the 2015 find in Iran. These crystals are remarkably similar to Red Cloud mine Wulfenites but the matrix is a little more complex and has many tiny Wulfenites with different habits. The main Wulfenite is contacted/ chipped on its bottom edge so this is not for a perfectionist but the contact is where this would sit and so is not visible under most display conditions. The price reflects this. Good color, transparency and sharpness.
HOLD Wulfenite with Mimetite crystals
stock #HOLD 15.1-543
Chah Milleh Mine, Anarak Dist., Nain Co.
Esfahan (Ishfahan) Province, Iran
3.6 x 3.3 x 2.1 CM (miniature)
price: $230
Fall 2015

A cute small example of the Orange Wulfenite with small balls of Mimetite from the Chah Milleh discovery. An exciting new find of Wulfenite that has similarities to both the Rowley and San Francisco Mines, but is also clearly different. Those mines had little balls of Mimetite, but this has sharp prismatic crystals that look a bit like the orange Bunker Hill Pyros. For any Wulfenite suite this locality is quite important. Micro sized chipping exists (as in nearly every piece) shown in the photos. As a result this has a far lower cost but still looks good. Several crystal habits of both Wulfenite and Mimetite are seen with magnification, but the naked eye display is quite nice too.
