SOLD Barite -rosette form
stock #SOLD AX-12-343
Quarry near Baixa Prison, Joao Pessoa
Paraiba, Brazil
4.3 x 4.3 x 3.2 CM (miniature)
price: $0

Transparent to translucent Barite crystals in a distinct Rosette form. From an unusual locality in Brazil, the crystals have well-defined phantoms as well. In fine condition as seen, there is minimal matrix. Ex William Hladysz collection, an almost never seen Barite from Brazil that is very esthetic.

Lazurite pseudo after Sodalite
stock #15.1-336
Fayzabad, Koksha Valley, Khash-Kuran Wa Munjan District
Badakshan, Afghanistan
4.8 x 3.3 x 2.7 CM (miniature)
price: $700
Late Summer 2018

A brilliant blue crystal of Lazurite nicely perched on a Calcite matrix. This is quite a fine Lazurite but it is in fact much less common, it is a partial pseudomorph of a Sodalite crystal. Both minerals are known to pseudomorph each other but can have similar crystal shapes so it is hard to detect. On this crystal there is some small zones where the brilliant blue is only partly covering the whitish to more pale blue interior. The core of the crystal can be seen and is still Sodalite, This is vividly Fluorescent in those spots but the exterior blue Lazurite has no response. The crystal is up to 2.7 CM across and contrasts perfectly with the matrix. A choice crystal and intense blue pseudo.

Fluorite
stock #15.1-1069-(SM4754)
Fort Wayne. Allen County
Indiana, United States
4.3 x 3 x 3 CM (miniature)
price: $280
Late Summer 2018

A pretty mid-western US Fluorite with transparent crystals that are far more clear in person. Overall sharp and lustrous there are some small edge jagged zones that with strong magnification appear to be mostly natural contacts and a few partially recrystallized bruises. One tiny cleave is noted too, so this is not perfect but by naked eye it still looks quite fine, has great color and displays well. Ex Charles Noll collection, vintage 1970 time period. Crystals to 2.5 CM, the matrix is clearly seen through the cubes.

SOLD Pyromorphite -Rare locality
stock #SOLD 0694-JM-554
Electric Point Mine, Gladstone Mountain, Leadpoint, Stevens County
Washington, United States
4.2 x 3.7 x 2.8 CM (miniature)
price: $0
Late Summer 2018

This is the only Pyromorphite I have seen from this locality, therefore I could say it is the best one I have EVER seen! Actually it is fairly rich, a nearly pure piece of Pyro, but clearly not fine display grade, with modest crystals and some vugs of botryoidal crusts. Ex John Marshall Pyromorphite Suite obtained by trade with the Royal Ontario Museum in 1972. A rare locality piece with good color and some nice areas.

Barite (Baryte)
stock #18.1-335
Stoneham, Weld County
Colorado, United States
5 x 3.3 x 1 CM (miniature)
price: $45
Late Summer 2018

A nice cluster of blue barite in typical flat crystal form from the famed Stoneham, Colorado area. A classic habit and locale, these are immediately recognizable. Complete on all sides, this is an affordable and attractive example 1980 vintage.

Meterorite- Sikote Alin
stock #0091-JM-1851
Paseka Village, Sikhote-Alin Mountains
Primorsky Kray, Russia
4.3 x 3.1 x 1.5 CM (miniature)
price: $190
Late Summer 2018

A choice 53 Gram Sihkote-Alin meteorite that shows the pitting, ablation and fusion crusts on all sides, a so called "complete individual". This is one of the most famed meteorite falls from 1947, the resulting Iron meteorite specimens are the coarsest octahedrites known. This piece has sharp and distinct "thumbprints" and the dark color and luster for this fall. Ex John Marshall collection.

Mimetite with Wulfenite
stock #13.1-139
Mina Ojuela, Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
5.7 x 3.6 x 2.8 CM (miniature)
price: $440
Worldwide mix summer

A choice "wet-look" Mimetite with bright yellow-orange color. In fine condition as seen, from the 2012 pocket at Mina Ojuela, one of the best discoveries there in many years. The form is noticably different from the old San Pedro de Coralitos locality that is now very uncommon and expensive. On this piece the luster and color is noticably brighter, while the Mimetites are more tall and slender. Bright and attractive piece with some tiny Wulfenites scattered about that are best seen with magnification. Excellent value.

Barite -transparent with Phantoms
stock #16.1-083
Susville, La Mure, Isere
Rhone-Alpes, France
3.9 x 3.5 x .9 CM (miniature)
price: $180
Worldwide mix summer

Transparent blade crystals of Barite with a white fringe and phantoms inside. Sharp and lustrous from a small but remarkable French find 3 years ago. A choice example, very delicate and in eye-perfect condition. With 10 x magnification the main crystals are pristine. At 20 X a tiny chip is found on a tiny side crystal near the base. A choice example.
