Autunite
stock #17.1-551
Daybreak Mine, Spokane County
Washington, United States
5.5 x 4.2 x 2.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $475
Dec 2018

A fully crystallized plate of Autunite from the old sixties vintage finds at the Daybreak Mine. Now considered American classics, this piece has been stabilized to keep it from crumbling as many did. As the Autunite looses water in dry air they tended to alter to Meta Autunite and fall apart. Vivid fluorescence as was typical for these, this specimen came from the Les Hitchings collection, obtained in 1970. Good color and form in excellent condition.

stock #17.1- A10-060
Daybreak Mine, Spokane County
Washington, United States
5.3 x 3.8 x 1.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $750
Fall 2015

An outstanding, classic Daybreak mine Autunite. Bright green to yellow green crystals in fine condition in clusters and radiating sprays. Vivid fluorescence. In excellent condition which is rare for this delicate mineral, this can be displayed from several angles. Choice.
Autunite -Fine crystals from type locale
stock #9.1-039
Les Odoux, near Autun
Bourgougne-Franche-Compte, France
8.5 x 5.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $1100

A bright, attractive and well crystallized French example from the area that gave Autunite its name. Distinctly different from the well known Spakane Washington Autunites, these are much more rare. Fine lemon-yellow to green crystals and sprays cover much of the flat matrix with individuals reaching over 8MM. Brilliant FL of course. This matrix is exceptionally fragile so we will need to make special shipping or delivery arrangements for this piece. Ex collection of Ernie Schlicter.
