Bright yellow striated main crystal of Anglesite on a thin matrix of other Anglesites and Galena. A very nice thumbnail from the famed and now classic Touissit Mines of Morocco. The other Anglesites are incomplete and have noticeable edge damage, the main crystal is in better shape overall, the termination is very sharp, but is rough on the lower end. Not for perfectionists but still choice, affordable and a very nice gem grade crystal with fine color and luster.
A classic old Sardinian specimen and highly sought after bright green Anglesites on typical matrix. There are several green crystals of Anglesite on this specimen, largest 1.7 CM, but sadly most have noticeable damage, only some small ones in vugs are in good shape. Despite the damage the color is good, it is very hard to find any such specimens. The Anglesites are fluorescent yellow and the matrix exterior is a botryoidal Gossan with a core of altered Galena hosting the Anglesites. Montevechio is an ancient mine worked even before the middle ages. Green Anglesites were found long ago and are something of a holy grail for many. The damage here is heart breaking but makes this a very affordable example of this rare Lead secondary. With more perfect crystals this would easily be a mid 4 figures specimen.

Several well-formed Anglesite crystals are scattered on a nearly pure Galena matrix. From the famed Broken Hill Mines, the Anglesites are milky white, undamaged and well-exposed. These show the blocky habit well and reach up to 1 CM though 5-7 MM is average.
A superb minature that displays well 360 degrees. Ex Phil Scalise collection, this is in impeccable, undamaged condition. The tree-like tower of white to colorless Anglesites shows several crystal forms but all are lustrous and sharp. Exceptional quality for this locality and really nice Angesite from anyplace for that matter. This is an older specimen though the exact vintage is uncertain. This sort of cluster is rare and unknown from other localities. A great addition to any Lead secondary collection or for those who appreciate esthetic mineral oddities. A hefty specimen of Lead Sulphate, this miniature weighs 72 grams.
Blocky habit colorless, transparent crystals of Anglesite with a tiny amount of Sulphide adhering to the edges. In excellent condition there are several complex face modifications seen on close exam and a few inclusions that are likely Galena. The transparent crystals have internal iridescent "rainbows" and the luster is bright and glassy. Anglesite crystals are known from many Lead mines worldwide but only a very few localities have produced such fine large crystals, and Tsumeb is high on the short list. A very fine undamaged and esthetic example of the specie and for this habit.

A cute thumbnail of light yellow Anglesite crystals in a slightly radiating cluster. These are transparent, glassy and sharp, this is also fluorescent an orange-red in long wave UV. The color is fully natural, some Anglesites were color enhanced in Morocco by dipping into a chlorine bleach. The results were deeper color but also an odd luster, this one is completely real. In good condition, all the terminations are perfect, there is contact/roughness on some of the lower sides only. Touissit has been closed for decades now but it was once a magnificent locale for fine lead secondaries.

An oddity, from Los Lamentos, the locality world famed for superb Wulfenites, this is a different association. The mine contained a large amount of Sulfate minerals along with the Lead secondary species and some Native Sulphur. This Sulphur mass has both massive and micro crystal areas and is the matrix enclosing several Anglesite crystals about 1 CM in size. Not often seen for sale, this piece dates from the 1970's.

This habit of Anglesite with the zoned dark inclusions is distinctive. In fine condition, no damage can be found even at 20X magnification. One end of the crystal has both Pyrite and Galena in small crystals and masses on the exterior faces, the other end is uncoated except for some micro Cerussites (white) not seen without good magnification. There are dark inclusions of what is most likely Galena seen at several places but mostly near the terminations as dark zones. The matrix here is mostly a druse of small Anglesites that are black, lustrous and thickly included with Sulfides. A choice Tsumeb piece and a nice Anglesite.
