Gorno, Riso Valley, Bergamo Province
6.6 x 4.2 x 2.8 CM (cabinet)
An old Italian specimen, a brightly colored Aurichalcite deposited on top of a light blue Hemimorphite. The coverage on this matrix is quite dense and rich, unlike the more typical isolated micro tufts. Several old labels (Sisi, Sperulunga collections) are included. The backside is a complex mass of Hemimorphite in wormlike structures with a few Aurichalcites in small vugs.
Aurichalcite with Hemimorphite
79 Mine, Hayden, Banner District, Gila County
4.7 x 4 x 3.8 CM (miniature)
An outstanding Copper specondary specimen, a miniature Aurichalcite from the famed 79 Mine. The condition is exceptional and the display impact is also top notch. Some of the best Aurichalcites ever found came from this small mine years ago but are not often available in this quality. In incredible undamaged condition, remarkable for such a delicate specimen. A few small clear balls of radiating Hemimorphites add a nice contrast too. Brilliant color and luster give this a great display impact much bigger than the size. Really far better in person.
