Salinas de Otuma, Otuma Village, Paracas, Pisco, Pisco Province
Ica, Peru
7 x 4.4 x 3.9 CM (cabinet)
price: $320
Spring 2020

The yellow to orange "golden" Selenites from Ica were rather common at mineral shows 20 years ago. There have not been new finds for some time and good, undamaged examples are now quite scarce. These still represent a very good value for a colorful, display quality specimen. This piece is from a small lot that has been in storage since the mid seventies. Sharp, glassy transparent crystals up to 2.6 CM tall in a cluster in excellent condition. There is some contacting on edges but no visible damage, remarkable for this very delicate mineral. Super attractive in person, these are textbook perfect clear crystals that are highly lustrous in person.
