Elbaite - Multicolor Gem crystal
stock #17.1-277 (A7)
Himalaya Mine, Gem Hill,Mesa Grande District, San Diego County
California, United States
1.6 x .9 x .5 CM (thumbnail)
price: $95

A fine thumbnail Tourmaline with super clarity and strong deep color. An older (1970 vintage) Himalaya mine specimen that is clearly more vibrant than typically available. No damage and a nice termination but still very affordable.
Serandite with Aegerine etc.
stock #Alec 16-477
Mont Saint-Hilaire, Monteregie
Quebec, Canada
5.8 x 3.8 x 3.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $550

Unusual habit with brilliant red-orange color and many gemmy crystals forming a very attractive Serandite from the great Mt St Hillaire. The largest crystal is 2.5 CM across and is a blocky style, but the smaller crystals show many different habits and terminations. Some of these are Bipyramids or have complex parallel prisms and multiple stepped terminations. The luster is excellent, the condition is overall quite fine there is a break on backside where removed and a few very small wilbers noted on minor crystals only seen with 10X magnification. Classic locale and specie, attractive and unusual.
Barite flowerlike clusters
stock #16.1-661
Rosiclare level, Minerva Mine #1, Minerva Oil Co, Cave-in-Rock district
Illinois, United States
5.8 x 3.9 x 1.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $290

Outstanding quality and esthetics with a pale blue color, this is attractive from every angle of view. The Barites were overshadowed by the great Fluorites from the mine and relatively few were collected, they are now scarce in any quality.
Legrandite
stock #16.1-304
Mina Ojuela, Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
5.9 x 3.1 x 2 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $690

Well exposed vug filled with perfect yellow acicular form Legrandites. Unlike many pieces these are free standing crystals not laying in the matrix. A choice piece with strong esthetics and color. Small globs of greenish Adamite are present as well, this is an older specimen dating back to the earliest finds at Ojuela.
Calcite w. Hematite
stock #15.1-992-(SM4995)
Daye Iron Mine, Edong Mining District, Huangshi Prefecture
Hubei, China
6.1 x 3 x 4.7 CM (cabinet)
price: $330

Hematite included Calcite crystal with fine color, luster and an overall esthetic presentation. This is an unusual form twin that is completely differnet from any others I have seen from Daye. With well developed phantoms, this is in excellent undamaged condition.
Elbaite w.Lepidolite
stock #ALEC-30-023
Himalaya Mine, Gem Hill,Mesa Grande District, San Diego County
California, United States
5.6 x 1.4 x 1.1 CM (miniature)
price: $1850

Unusually clear gem grade and with muche better than usual color intensity. This is the classic look and habit of the Himalaya mine, but in exceptional condition and quality. No repairs and very close to perfect condition damagewise (just one chip about .5 millimeter that is clearly not distracting or easy to see). This is an old specimen, far better in person, and far better than most of this size and type.
Calcite over Stibnite
stock #13.1-233
Quincy Mine, Hancock, Houghton County
Guizhou, China
7 x 5.2 x 6.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $90

An odd, strangely attractive specimen with an interesting form, This is a series of fingerlike growths studded with scalenohedral calcite crystals. These have grown over slender crystals of Stibnite which are now completely covered by the reddish calcite. It is possible to see on the bottom where this was broken off the Stibnites remain.
Amethyst with Apophyllite and Hubeite
stock #7AE-545
Fengjiashan Mine (Daye Copper Mine), Edong District, Daye County, Huangs
Hubei, China
7.3 x 3.4 x 4.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $175

A very neat, clean and colorful example of this find from about 8 years ago at Fengjiashan. In fine condition the Amethyst shows multiple growth steps and has excellent transparency and luster. The tabular apophyllite covering 3 faces has nice crystals to 1.5 CM and a dusting of micro minerals including Hubeite.
