Epidote & Prehnite
5.9 x 4.6 x 3 CM (cabinet)
The Mali Prehnites with Epidote can be wonderfully esthetic and this is great example of fine form and color. Even though the location has been very productive for a few years it now seems to be tapering off. The better pieces from this find are destined to appreciate and become classics. Meanwhile this is quite affordable for such a pretty and pristine specimen.
Wenshan County, Wenshan Autonomous Prefecture
9 x 7 x 5.5 CM (cabinet)
A rich and very colorful example of the Hemimorphite from the earliest find at Wenshan. The form and condition are excellent and the more recent finds did not have this habit. Nice blue-green Hemimorphites from classic locales can be very expensive but the better Chinese specimens are often more attractive with much less cost
Rhodochrosite on Fluorite
Lame (Lamo) Zn-CU deposit, Dachang, Nandan, Hechi Prefecture
Guangxi Autonomous Region,
4.8 x 3.5 x 2.5 (miniature)
A very pretty, unusual Rhodochrosite from an unusual locale. Crystals perched on delicate clusters of small Fluorites, all of which are growing on Quartz crystals in an esthetic array. Fine condition and with great display qualities, this is a very fine miniature and far better in person.
A sparkling bright "sugar frosted" Barite from the famed (but small) sugarbowl pocket found about 15 years ago. A very nice example with several good angles of display- the backside is cleaved but the front is in good shape. Already a classic find, these have disappeared from the market and there were never many of them.
An excellent, highly esthetic, sharp and lustrous specimen from the first great find of Helvite in China. The Leichang mine produced several good to great Helvites in the 2002-3 era, later examples tended to be dull and small in size. This fine example with super sharp crystals to 2.2 CM was sold by Carter Rich in 2003 to George Loud who later sold it back to Carter, it went then to the William Hladysz collection. Old labels and collection cards are included with the piece. Overall in good condition despite the obvious delicate nature of the slender quartz. Some broken Quartz crystal can be see at some angles and micro chips are on a few edges of the Helvite. Not distracting from display impact this is a very good value for an impressive specimen. Not for an ultra picky perfectionist, and not 5-7K!
Af ine and colorful piece from the great but short lived location at Pingtouling. Many collectors rank these Mimetites in the running for best of specie. Glassy sharp and clean of damage this displays well, has the most desirable orange color and is quite a good value.
An exceptional, elegant Pseudomorph ex. Ed Swoboda's fine collection of Psuedos. Likely mined pre 1970, there is nothing like this on the market. Tapered, curving crystals of the original Pyrrhotites formed a very esthetic cluster and reached to 5.3 CM long. The replacement by Arsenopyrite seems to be complete and has a brilliant sparkling luster. Minor associated Sulphides are seen but this is almost entirely Arsenopyrite/ Pyrrhotite. In great condition as seen, this displays well from all angles. A fine addition to any Pseudo collection, Mexican or Sulphide suite,

Cripple Creek District
6.75 x 4.9 x 4 CM (cabinet)
A very well crystallized example of this Gold Telluride, from the Ruth and Andy Palmer collection. Older material, this specimen dates before 1940. The matrix also contains micro crystals of other un-identified tellurides, but the main event here is the 4.5 CM large zone of crystallized Sylvanites. The largest of these reaches 1.5 CM most are 1 CM or less. A sharp and distinct specimen in excellent condition.
