Chalcedony-"Caviar agate" on red Scolecite
stock #17.1-704
Malegaon, Nasik
Maharashtra, India
3.8 x 3 x 2.3 (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $700
Spring 2017

An unbelievable new find! We were able to obtain what so far are the best pieces of the small but impressive pocket in Malegon, Nasik, India. The red to orange Scolecite is in a rounded mass composed of radiating needles. An impressive matrix for the small spheres of Chalcedony (or technically agate) looking like fish eggs in multiple colors. These were named "caviar agate" shortly after they first appeared, and are an amazing companion to the "grape agates" from Indonesia. This has the caviar eggs on small needle-like stalks with excellent form, color and quality. Displays brilliantly under good light as seen in these photos. A fine addition to any suite of Quartz, Agates, Indian trap minerals or simply esthetics.

Amethyst -Siamese twin scepters
stock #17.1-135
Karur
Tamil Nadu, India
2.4 x .8 x .5 CM (thumbnail)
price: $520
Spring 2017

A killer thumbnail of conjoined scepters with amazing form and perfection. The scepter heads have many tiny inclusions that look like rutile but could be lepidocrocite or similar material. The delicate purple color is softly zoned and all is fully transparent. No damage, from recent finds at Karur, we are very active seeking good materials from this locality, it has great potential but produces very few fine pieces like this. Exceptional for the locale or from anyplace. Choice, esthetic and really unusual.
Rhodochrosite- gemmy crystals on Sulphide finger
stock #17.1-136
Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province
Lima Department, Peru
4.5 x 2.1 x 2 CM (miniature)
price: $2950
Spring 2017

As fine as it can get! Perfect crystals of gem clear Rhodochrosite studding a slender finger of Sulphide matrix which gives great contrast. Elegant crystal arrangement with top color and luster, simply a top miniature specimen that is 360 degrees viewable. The terminations of the Rhodos are all quite perfect too, even under strong magnification. Clearly a fine competition grade miniature. Ex M. Budil, F Gaboury, from a find at Uchucchacua, Peru in 1999. It is incredible that even with this many crystals the specimen is still perfect and undamaged.
Willemite -red to pink crystal in Calcite
stock #Alec12-581
Franklin Mine, Franklin Mining District, Sussex County
New Jersey, United States
6.2 x 4.2 x 3.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $285
Spring 2017

A nice classic Franklin, New Jersey Willemite crystal well exposed on Calcite. Vivid fluorescence, sharp prism faces and not acid etched out of the matrix (which was usually done but looks melted and is less desirable). The crystal is typically crude and slightly rounded on some edges with natural cracks but no repairs.
