A cute small miniature featuring glass clear cubes that are almost colorless but have a tiny hint of blue in some light. The main Fluorite is 1.3 CM across and there is no damage on the specimen. The matrix can be seen perfectly through the crystals. Walworth Fluorites are quite rare on the market and much respected by regional collectors and Fluorite lovers worldwide. From an older collection this is a very good value.

Massachusetts, United States
6.7 x 5 x 3.7 CM (cabinet)

Royalston Massachusetts is a legendary classic locality for gem Beryl with occasional finds over the past 180 years. This specimen shows the typical habit with a single crystal 5.4 CM long that is nearly all gem clear. The crystal also shows an old break that is rehealed with a thin line of Quartz dividing the prism into two sections. Much prized by collectors of classic minerals, these are not often available. One old repair is noted on close exam but nearly all of these have at least one.

Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos
Quebec, Canada
3.2 x 2.9 x 2.2 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $1250
new june 17

Big and fine, isolated Garnets to 1.5 CM (well above average for these) with excellent color and luster. In good condition overall, there is typical contacting on the backside and some chipping on one garnet but the largest main crystal is completely perfect. This could be trimmed to a competition grade thumbnail if desired but this small miniature size as is presents very well. A little addition of small Diopside crystals adds a nice touch. Classic form and with distinct separation of crystals that is so sought after from top grade Jeffrey Garnets. As the mine is now gone forever these have become almost impossible to get in good quality.

A killer small miniature (toenail) with rich deep purple color and zoning in gem clear crystals. In fine condition as seen, this has the slightly beveled edges on the cubes that is distinctive of the Llamas Quarry and many Asturias area mines. This locale has never been very productive in terms of quantity but the quality - as in this specimen are world class.

A top esthetic Milpillas Azurite presenting an elegant cluster of perfect, sharp, crystals on contrasting matrix. Not a typical specimen, this form and habit are quite rare from Mexico. Textbook prismatic crystals reach 2 CM in size and are undamaged. Milpillas produced many great specimens while it was producing but specimens like this were never common. Choice.
Zircon- classic Colorado find
stock #15.1-703
North Cheyenne Canyon, El Paso County
Colorado, United States
3.4 x 2.6 x 2 CM (miniature)
price: $360
new june 17

A very sharp group of Zircon crystals with a great history. Collected in Cheyenne Canyon in 1945 by the late Warren Johansson in the last weeks before he was drafted. While awaiting his call up, Warren went on a series of legendary bucket list mineral hunting trips. He had been clued in by Clarence Coil that, long ago, some Zircons had been found in that area but the locale was lost. Warren located this spot and dug several nice pieces, some of the best ever found. This specimen was one of Warrens favorites and was pictured for his memoir. Warren passed in 2015 still active collecting in his 90s. This specimen is a fine Colorado classic from a great field collector.
Fluorite- Ice cube habit on Calcite etc.
stock #17.1-AX14-335
Dalnegorsk, Kavalerovo Mining District
Primorsky Kray, Far Eastern Region, Russia
4.8 x 4.4 x 3.4 CM (miniature)
price: $460
new june 17

Looking like partially melted ice cubes these are ultra clear habit Fluorites found at Dalngorsk more the 15 years ago. In excellent condition the Fluorites up to 2 CM are nicely contrasted with the matrix. It is difficult to photograph the gem clear perfection, the matrix is perfectly seen right through the crystals. Some very clear Fluorites still come out of this locale, but none are as clear as those from this older find, now a modern classic discovery. Super glasslike luster with no signs of frosting on the faces, even better in person.
