From one of the earth's oldest mineral localities this is a pretty, bright color densely crystallized plate of Cuprian Adamite. In outstanding condition, this thin plate hosts hundreds of perfect crystals. With 10x magification I can find only 2 tiny bumps. A classic locality piece with top color.
SOLD Fluorite -mult- color phantom
stock #SOLD A7-027-660
Annabel Lee Mine, Harris Creek, Hardin County
Illinois, United States
5 x 4.2 CM (miniature)
price: $0
Spring 2013

A very sharp, glassy lustrous cube cluster with distinctive zoning and good color. The great Annabel Lee Mine was one of the greatest Fluorite producers and its specimens were distinctive. The mine is long gone and no other location has quite the same look to it. This glows well with backlighting showing a rich yellow to orangy color core and a deep purple rim. Relatively pristine, the display face looks undamaged by naked eye but a carefull exam with loupe finds some very tiny chips, The back is incomplete as it was contacted byother crystals but it is not damaged. There is no matrix, quite esthetic.
stock #Alec-12-500
Mina Ojuela, Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
4.5 x 3.4 CM (miniature)
price: $480
Spring 2013

One of the most desirable rare minerals from Ojuela, Legrandite well displayed in a radiating burst of distinctive yellow. This is filling a shallow pocket in the gossan matrix,2.8 CM across. Several prismatic crystals are compleet here but there are several broken ones too (legrandite is especially brittle and and there are almost no specimens of any size without some damage). Despite the damage this is still well above average. None has been found for over 20 years now, this is an early piece last sold in the 1970s.
