Pyrolusite /Hausmannite pseudo after Manganite
stock #ALEC-10-857
Ilmenau
Thuringia, Germany
7.8 x 4.3 x 3.5 CM (cabinet)
price: $280
Post Tucson 2015

A very old piece formerly from collections of Ara Dildalion and William Hladysz, but likely far older. The forms of the original Manganite crystals are very clearly seen are are up to 6.8 C. The luster of the piece is overall a dull "sooty" black but some faces and terminations have a shiny black luster as well. This region is the source of the great classic Manganites that are especially sought after. This sort of Psuedomorph is not especially pretty but they are rare and this one has especially good form
Spinel -Classic old locale
stock #15.1-168
Amity, Orange County
New York, United States
3.3 x 3.2 x 2.6 CM (miniature)
price: $250
Post Tucson 2015

A very good example of Amity NY Spinel that was world famed when first found in the 1840's. The exact locale is now lost today, but occasional small finds are made in the area. This is an old specimen in fine condition, sharp, complete and with a nice contrast to the matrix.
Fluorite & Quartz
stock #15.1-096
Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County
Hunan Province, China
5.2 x 4.5 x 3.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $350
Post Tucson 2015

Sharp and clear Fluorites with some unusual (for Yaoganxian) frosted faces sit nicely on unusual flatted Quartz crystals. Obtained in China in 2002 at the peak of Yaoganxian's productivity. In excellent condition, this has a different look than most YGX pieces and is quite esthetic.
