A large and super esthetic Auglaize Fluorite. From the heyday of the quarry production over 20 years ago, this is an eyecatching piece with good iridescence that has to be seen in person to appreciate. The open cavity here holds dozens of small perfect orange-brown cubes that off set larger gemmy purple cubes up to 1.5 CM. This is the best large matrix piece I have seen for sale.
A new find of Imperial topaz with zoned inclusions from the famed Ouro Preto. This late 2016 find had less than a dozen crystals but all have deep brown to near black inclusions on the lower areas of the crystals. The tops and terminations are very fine, gem clear and slightly zoned in hues of yellow to orange. This world class locale has produced unique "imperial" Topaz for many decades. This small find is very special, it a unique habit that is different but still exhibits the well known fine gem crystal that is classic from here. In person this is more transparent, lustrous and undamaged

Almandine -fine crystals on Schist
Stikine River, Wrangell Island, Wrangell-Petersburg Borough
10.3 x 6.4 x 5.5 CM (cabinet)
Exceptional quality Alaskan Garnet well exposed on contrasting schist. Esthetic old specimen with a quality rarely seen, the largest Almandine is 2.7 CM. Some areas of the Garnets are translucent with slight rounded edges and nice growth details on larger faces. In fine condition, the crystals show textbook typical modifications and have a rich purple-red color. A classic US location.
Super rich specimen with sharp and lustrous Lazulite crystals dominating the display face. Good Rapid Creek Lazulite are the best ever found of this specie, and unlike any other location in the world. Magnification shows several of other phosphate minerals including what looks like fine Collinsite and Kulanite crystals. The Lazulites are in most cases transparent to translucent and have rich color. Loaded with other micro minerals this is attractive on a shelf or under a scope. Well above average quality for the locale the Lazulites are very large at over 1 CM.
A fine classic specimen from the Tintic District, ex Northwestern University Museum, Charles Noll, David Crawford etc. Bright Cuprian Adamite crystals sparkle against Azurite and Conichalcite on a gossan matrix with traces of Cuprite. Comes with several labels, is in fine condition, undamaged, and clearly a very old specimen. Almost never seen on the market today, from a significant US locality.
Cassiterite on Muscovite
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Pref.
6.3 x 5.2 X 3.8 CM (cabinet)
Incredibly lustrous, super, sharp Cassiterite twin crystal set nicely on contrasting Muscovite matrix. The Cassiterite is 1.8 CM in diameter and has no damage or chipping even under 20X magnification. From finds in 2003 at Mt Xuebaoding, this quality of Cassiterite is simply not being found anymore. High esthetics and display impact for a small size specimen.
A complete crystal of Apatite that is bright blue to blue-green, is transparent in places, and doubly terminated. No damage but there are some contacts and "melting" on one edge. Very glassy luster and really choice for this location. There are several areas that could be faceted but much of the interior has some veils and inclusions. Ex. Tom Fitzpatrick collection, collected over 20 years ago
