Apatite on Adularia from the Acushnet Quarry are not often available, and are prized by Northeastern US collectors and Apatite lovers worldwide. A classic Alpine cleft find these look identical to some European specimens. This has a complete floater Albite crystal coated with Chlorite and hosting a compound Apatite crystal almost 2 CM across. Collected by the legendary Ernie Schlichter probably in the early 1980s. Undamaged and complete, the color is yellow-green grading to white, and little richer in person.
Big and fine, isolated Garnets to 1.5 CM (well above average for these) with excellent color and luster. In good condition overall, there is typical contacting on the backside and some chipping on one garnet but the largest main crystal is completely perfect. This could be trimmed to a competition grade thumbnail if desired but this small miniature size as is presents very well. A little addition of small Diopside crystals adds a nice touch. Classic form and with distinct separation of crystals that is so sought after from top grade Jeffrey Garnets. As the mine is now gone forever these have become almost impossible to get in good quality.
