Beryl V. Emerald on Calcite
La Marina Mine, Pauna
3.3 x 2.1 x 1.5 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
Worldwide mix summer
Fine, deep color Emerald crystal nicely perched on crystalized Calcite. From the La Marina Mine, which is famed for Apatites and Euclase but only rarely are specimen Emeralds seen from here. No repairs, the hexagon of Beryl has some etched faces and one one edge a contact but otherwise it is a very choice little gem crystal on classic Colombian matrix. It has gotten very hard to source Emerald specimens in Colombia that are not color enhanced, repaired or priced at crazy levels. This is a very reasonable and attractive peice.
