Muqiaomian Depsit, Xinlu-Shuilyanba Quanzhou County, Guilin Prefecture
Guangxi Autonomous Region,
5.6 x 4.5 x 3.3 CM (cabinet)
From the one time find over a decade ago that produced some of the worlds best ever Hydrozincites. This is a very well formed example with perfect form and fine luster. Hydrozincite is not normally thought of as an esthetic mineral but this is certainly very attractive. These were at first mistaken for Aragonite with odd luster but on closer study proved to be much rarer and with amazing quality. We have not seen any like this for sale in years.
Fluorite -classic zoned Illinois
Rosiclare level, Minerva Mine #1, Minerva Oil Co, Cave-in-Rock district
7.8 x 5.8 x 3.9 CM (cabinet)
A choice old Minerva mine specimen with strong purple to yellow zoning. In very fine condition and with wonderful details of stepping and complex face planes. The photos have a little backlight to show the color and zoning with stronger backlight they are far more dramatic, brighter and intense but not typical of a normal display. Without any backlighting the zoning is visible but subtle. A few tiny Chalcopyrites are evident too.
Hemimorphite on Willemite
Mindouli - Mindouli District
9.7 x 6 x 4.8 CM (cabinet)
Super intense blue Hemimorphite grading to a whiter hue sits on a crystalline Willemite matrix. Displays very well, this is damage free, and very attractive in person. The Hemimorphite is especially three dimensional and the botryoidal spheres are impressively well formed. Fine Hemi specimens like this have been only sporadically available, and only a few specimens at a time. We have seen nothing new come out recently. These are among the worlds best Hemimorphites for color for form.

Poudrette Quarry, Mont Saint-Hilaire
3.1 x 1.6 x .8 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
A clean, damage free crystal aggregate that is doubly terminated and displays a slight rotation or twist. Tiny Analcime and Natrolites are attached but this is overall just Serandite. Good Salmon pink colored and well developed flat terminations on top of these crystals makes a very choice thumbnail. A very good St. Hillaire specimen, a good value.
