Windowpane type Apophyllite crystals mixed with sharp, transparent Quartz, and all dusted with tiny Hubeite crystals. A few of the smaller Quartz are Japanese twins. An attractive combination specimen in very good condition, the main Apophyllite crystals are undamaged. There is some minor chipping and damage on the outside edge where this was removed, overall in nice shape. The Hubeite, (this is the type locality), are numerous but tiny best seen with magnification. The Apophyllite is almost certainly Fluorapophyllite, it is what is known from here but as this piece has no confirming analysis we use only the group name. An attractive cabinet specimen with nice three-dimensional form. This find was made in 2006-7 and very little has come out since.
