The main Stannite is over 2CM, and has exceptional form, luster and is sharp and complete with stacked growth "towers" on the apexes of the crystal. For this rare specie this is a huge crystal with remarkable shape, much better than the usual globular masses without distinct faces. Overall esthetics and condition are fantastic for this usually nondescript mineral. The color ranges from silver-black to a brassy golden depending on the angle of illumination. Yaogangxian Stannites are the best in the world, redefining the species, this is a very fine example.
Daoping Mine, Gongcheng County, Guilin Prefecture
11.3 x 8.5 CM (cabinet)
A large, fine Pyromorphite from the 2000-2001 discoveries at Daoping, now recognized as one of the best finds in the world. The recent finds have not had the same color or stature of the best of the early materials which are now classics and richly priced when available. This piece is all Pyromorphite, there is no matrix, the front is densely packed with radiating crystal clusters with individuals to just over 1 cm. Very close examination shows a few small spots with chipping on crystals, this is really minor and not seen in casual inspection but it keeps the price of this from being over 10K. Great display piece with a good 3 dimensional presentation.
Himalaya Mine, Gem Hill,Mesa Grande District, San Diego County
4.6x2.4 CM (miniature)
A richly zoned crystal that is very sharp and damage free. This is the classic bicolor for this mine showing a sharp flat termination. It has much richer than usual color depth and really glows with any backlight.

Telirio Mine, Linopolis
8.5x7 CM. Xls to 2CM (cabinet)
A fine spray of sharp, lustrous and brilliant yellow-green Brazilianites wrap the matrix in an esthetic arrangement. Outstanding gemmy quality, all the main crystals are perfect, however there is some damage at the edges to small crystals that is not distracting. A very fine, esthetic matrix piece of what is perhaps the best quality find of this mineral in decades.

Urumqui, Kuruktag Mts.
Xinjiang Autonomous Region,
9.8 x 7.6 CM (cabinet)
Brilliant red wulfenite from this new discovery, crystals reaching 1.7 CM densly cover the gossan matrix. There are 2 different unknown micro crystals coating some areas and the Wulfenites show a selective coating of what looks like quartz on some faces. There is some damage on some crystals which is true of all the larger pieces from the find, but the overall impact is still excellent. There is disagreement over the correct location details on this find, we will keep everyone informed as we try to sort this out and confirm the source.

Changmenshan Copper Mine, Jiulang
12.4 X 11 CM (cabinet)
A very large and striking example of this find, this ball like cluster has distinct and sharp crystals of Azurite reaching 2 CM with deep blue color. This is less "rose like" than some other examples and more a spherical aggregate of blocky crystals. There is minimal damage (some very small bruises not immediately seen and not in the better display areas) but the overall impact is very strong. One of the very best we have seen from this mine.
Large, lustrous crystals of undamaged Sphalerite perched on a contrasting quartz matrix. Individual crystals to 3.8 CM that are complex and intergrown with many distinct faces. The color is a dark red to brown-black and the smaller crystals are gemmy translucent while the larger ones are only on the edges. This is really worth far more than the price!
HOLD Fluorite on Quartz
stock #HOLD 6.2-124
19.8X15 CM (cabinet /museum)
A very large cabinet plate of Quartz and Fluorite layers with the top covered with fluorite octahedra of purple to violet color. Very esthetic and different from the usual fluorites from this location. The quartz has been etched to expose the fluorite and the result is impressive. Crystals exceed 3.4CM and there is no damage.
