Shigar, Skardu District, Baltistan
Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan

price: $110

A clean thumbnail of gem clear Aquamarine on an Albite matrix. The Beryl is flattened along one axis and has the classic flat termination. Beryl- Aquamarine with elongated, tabular form
stock #8.1-057
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Pref.
Sichuan Province, China
8.6 x 4.9 x 4.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $750
Spring 2019

Tabular Beryl are not known from many localities, and this sort of elongated tabular Beryl is really rare. There are several smaller parallel position additional crystals that are not elongated but the main crystals are which is really unusual. In very good condition, no damage and with fine luster on all sides, this was found in 2007 at Xuebaoding. This form is the flat hexagon with a sharp beveled edges that is so distinctive for this location. Better in person, a choice and rare Beryl.

Beryl V. Aquamarine- unusual stepped termination
stock #17.1-536
Hohenstein Massif, Omaruru District
Erongo Region, Namibia
3.7 x 3.7 x 3.3 CM (miniature)
price: $1250

A bizzare, unique, rare but attractive Aquamarine. From the Erongo Mountains, (Hohenstien Massif) this is a complete, doubly terminated crystal. The flat termination is typical although in this case the corners have modified faces. The real interest is the other termination that is a series of hexagonal steps that are perfectly centered like a stairway or a turret. The 4 main steps or platforms are very flat and some edges have a little etching, the whole is therefore a reversed scepter. Some minor contacting/chipping is noted but overall the condition is excellent. A good display piece but especially a great addition for a suite of Namibian/ Erongo minerals, Beryls or exotic crystal forms.

Fluorite on Beryl (Aquamarine)
stock #AX-10-745
Gilgit, Gilgit district
Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
7.3 x 5.2 x 4.6 CM (cabinet)
price: $600
Late Summer 2018

A choice combination specimen with light pink octahedral Fluorite on gemmy clear Aquamarine. The largest Beryl is 2.5 CM tall and well exposed on the matrix of Muscovite and Albite. This is a typical Northern Pakistan assemblage. The condition is quite fine, good magnification finds some tiny rough spots on a few Beryl edges but this is perfect by naked eye. Ex. William Hladysz collection. Separately both the Beryl and the Fluorite are fairly good but not extraordinary, however in a combination like this they are much more impressive.

Beryl (elongated crystals) on Muscovite
stock #8.1-130
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Pref.
Sichuan Province, China
7.8 x 5.4 x 2.8 CM (cabinet)
price: $420
Spring update

An unusual matrix plate well encrusted with Beryl (both Aquamarine and Goshenite) with fine clarity. The unusual part is the habit here, these are not the typical tabular crystals from Xuebaoding, but elongated prisms with truncated pyramids. Xuebaoding is a world famed locale and had produced many fine Beryls but almost always in a rare tabular habit. In 2006 a small zone with some elongated crystals produced these odd habit Beryl. This is a very good example from that find, there have been no more since.

Beryl v. Aquamarine - second generation
stock #AX-19-045
Erongo Mountain, Karibib
Erongo Region, Namibia
4 x 3.9 x 3.4 CM (miniature)
price: $140
Winter 2016-17

A gemmy sharp Beryl is growing from a cluster of older, darker etched crystals. Very nice composition and in good condition, this is an eye catching small Erongo specimen. The main Beryl also has some etching and wispy inclusions, best seen with magnification. Reasonable cost for an attractive gem crystal.

Beryl var. Aquamarine with Albite
stock #AX-19-267
Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu Co., Mianyang Pref.
Sichuan Province, China
6.8 x 4.9 x 4.1 CM (cabinet)
price: $600
Fall 2015

Tabular style Aquamarine specimen from Xuebaoding is a modern classic. This one has excellent form and very good color, transparency and glassy luster. In fine condition this has very esthetic display impact. The main crystal is 3.9 CM across.

Beryl var. Aquamarine
stock #A7-044-(1271)
Sapucaia do Norte, Galileia Doce Valley
Minas Gerais, Brazil
6.6 x .8 x .5 CM (cabinet)
price: $320
Post Tucson 2015

A perfect floater etched Beryl crystal with pale green color more evident in person. No damage, the entire surface of this transparent crystal is the fine geometric etched patterns that make this type of Beryl so desirable. Bigger crystals with this degree of perfection are incredibly expensive, this smaller version is relatively affordable.
