Chrysocolla - stalactitic with Quartz
Ball Park Bench, Ray Mine, Scott Mountain, Pinal County
Arizona, United States
3.7 x 1.7 x .9 CM (small miniature/ large thumbnail (toenail))
price: $650
Early summer 2021

Excellent form and complex color mix in this cluster of translucent stalactitic form Chrysocolla. From a recently rediscovered old stock of the 1978 find at the Ray Mine, this is a choice example of a quality rarely available. A classic for Arizona and the USA this piece comes from the noted Ball Park Bench find. The Quartz is a milky to clear overgrowth that is translucent and gives a very special look to the blue forms. This piece has 4 conjoined fingers all of which are complete without any tip damage as was common. Also unusual is the range of color from blue to a yellow-green hue. Choice.
