Aragonite- radiating crystal clusters
stock #18.1-490
Sefrou, Sefrou Province
Fes-Meknes region, Morocco
8.6 x 4.8 x 3.9 CM (cabinet)
price: $140

Very impressive form and esthetics for any Aragonite. Ball like radiating clusters of crystals in elongated translucent prismatic form twins that are joined in a chain. Some internal coloring on some areas adds a nice contrast. Fine condition overall, a few chips are seen on the backside but otherwise this is a 360 degree piece, displayable from most any angle.

Apatite (CaF) on Pericline
stock #13.1 -163
Anemzi Village, Midelt Province
Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
5.3 x 4 x 3.2 CM (small cabinet/large miniature)
price: $320
Late Summer 2018

The sort of gemmy Apatite that is sometimes called "asparagus stone". Set on a complex Feldspar matrix, there are a few small Apatites there as well. The main crystal is textbook sharp, transparent and depending on the lighting looks either lemon yellow or asparagus green. Close exam reveals what looks to be a repair, if so it is well done. Of course the price is adjusted for that. A choice display piece regardless the contrast is especially nice.

Azurite- slender form, complex cluster
stock #17.1-789
Touissit, Touissit-Bou Beker Dist., Jerada Province
Oriental Region, Morocco
6.6 x 4.2 x 2.8 (cabinet)
price: $650
Late Summer 2018

All Azurite crystals with no matrix to speak of. This slender jackstraw habit much like a modern art sculpture was distinctive for the Touissit mine more than twenty years ago. The Azurites are of a complex habit and have several different styles of jagged terminations. In fine condition despite the delicate form, a few bits of adhering gossan are noted in some of the nooks and crannies. A choice and now classic specimen this style Azurite is noticeably unlike any from other localities.

Cerussite -fine silky luster.
stock #AX-18-051
Touissit, Touissit-Bou Beker Dist., Jerada Province
Oriental Region, Morocco
5.7 x 4.3 x 3.2 CM (small cabinet/large miniature)
price: $450
Worldwide mix summer

A remarkable and fine Cerussite from Touissit with at least 3 generations of crystals and no matrix. The largest are the silky type twins that are optically transparent from some angles and almost opaque from others as they have a "cats eye effect". These contrast with both a black drusy (heavily included by Galena) and small colorless Cerussites. Remarkably this is fully undamaged and pristine from all angles. Touissit is sadly long closed but did in its day produce some of the world's best Lead secondary minerals and a few of these unique silky luster Cerussites. This is a very choice example from any angle, and better in person.

Phosgenite- complete complex crystal
stock #15.1-999-(SM3078)
Touissit, Touissit-Bou Beker Dist., Jerada Province
Oriental Region, Morocco
3.8 x 2.5 x 1.3 CM (miniature)
price: $750
Worldwide mix summer

An excellent, well formed complex Phosgenite from Touissit, Morocco. Ex Charles Noll collection, this is crystalized all around, nearly all transparent gem clear and with an elaborate shape. Touissit Phosgenites are only rarely available, they are regarded as some of the worlds best. Much less common on the market than the Sardinian Phosgenites, these were only discovered shortly before the mine closed for good. This is in fine condition as seen, which is also very rare with this delicate and brittle mineral.

Vanadinite -fine deep red
stock #6.2-775
Mibladen Mine, Upper Moulouya lead district, Midelt, Khenifra Province
Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
6.1 x 3.4 x 3.2 CM (small cabinet/ large miniature)
price: $725
Worldwide mix summer

A super bright red Vanadinite from Mibladen. This remarkable locale for almost 40 years has produced Vanadinite, all dug laboriously in tiny hand excavated crawlways. The best of these are with this electric red color and habit. The luster and condition of this piece are very fine, far better than average, with crystals to 1.4 CM across, on a contrasting matrix. Better in person, a very good value for this quality. Mined in 2006 and with excellent display impact.

Scorodite
stock #15.1-504
Oumil Mine, Bou Azzer, Ouarzazate
Drâa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
5.3 x 4.4 x 3.2 CM (cabinet)
price: $280
Worldwide mix summer

A good clean vug of densely packed Scorodite crystals from Bou Azzer. The crystals reach 6mm but most are smaller. The color is mostly green but a few blue-purple prisms are seen on some edges. From finds about 12 years ago, this is a very good representative specimen with good coverage.

Fluorite - distinct phantoms
stock #16.1-739
Aouli. Midelt, Khenifra Province
Meknes-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
5 x 4.2 x 2.9 CM (small cabinet/large miniature)
price: $330
Worldwide mix summer

Impressive and clear, these are very sharp purple phantoms inside bright yellow Fluorite cubes. We have seen hundreds of Aouli Fluorites but never this quality of phantom. Overall sharp and displays well but not a piece for perfectionists, there are small nicks and cleaves. Despite that there is strong impact for color, form and the distinct phantoms stand out well.
